As well as sailing and being active in the great outdoors, this adventure also offers the chance to find out about the rich history of Croatia.  Discover Mediterranean urban architecture on the small island of Korčula and uncover the secrets of a 14th century monastery on a tiny island in Mijet National Park. Experience the local traditions on the beautiful Elafiti islands and enjoy sightseeing and nightlife in the ancient city of Dubrovnik.  Staying onboard one of our yachts and in simple guest house accommodation, you’ll explore caves, coves, cliffs, beaches and pine forests of Dubrovnik and the Elafiti shorelines. Daily activities are reasonably short and not too demanding. You might even be lucky enough to spot friendly dolphins and tuna escorting your yacht or kayak!

Itinerary

Day 1 - Saturday:

Board your boat in Zaton Bay, a village just north of Dubrovnik. Our modern sailing catamaran sleeps 6-10 passengers and provides simple but comfortable accommodation. Your evening will be spent soaking up the great atmosphere of this quiet sea-front village, tasting local seafood and wines.

 

Day 2:

Set sail from Zaton Bay to the north-west to the island of Šipan. Explore the islands landscapes, castles, chapels and monasteries by bike

 

Day 3 :

After a leisurely breakfast set sail northwest to Mljet Island National Park. The north part of the island has two beautiful salt water lakes and 14th century monastery on a tiny island, which you will explore by bike and canoe.

 

Day 4:

Set sail to Korčula Island the birth place of Marco Polo. In the afternoon explore the town of Korčula. The evening is spent soaking up the great atmosphere before retiring to the boat for a final night on the water.

 

Day 5:

After breakfast disembark from the boat and head for Herzegovina for a thrilling river trip and a visit to Mostar, an old Ottoman Empire trading post. Return to Zaton Bay for dinner along the bay and move into a water-front guesthouse.

 

Day 6:

Kayak to Koločep island, one of the Elafiti Islands and the best sea kayaking in the Adriatic. Explore its high cliffs, hidden beaches and caves in your sea kayak and snorkel in caves and between submerged rocks.

 

Day 7:

Visit Dubrovnik one of the most beautiful towns in the Mediterranean. The day is spent exploring this unique city and enjoying its museums, cafes, bars and restaurants until late into the evening.

 

Day 8:

After breakfast departure to Dubrovnik airport for homebound flight.
